Click HERE To See Our Current Educator Of The Month
It's another school year in Northern Wisconsin and another year to salute our wonderful Educators. Each month throughout the school year we'll honor one educator in Northern Wisconsin who personifies what great teaching is all about. Does your Son or Daughter have a favorite Teacher? One who goes above and beyond to help out the students? If so, let us know. Just tell us below in 75 words or less why that Teacher is deserving of the award. We'll have one honoree per month and award that Teacher with a visit to the school and a special plaque honoring them as Educator Of The Month. Of course this is all made possible by Nicolet College of Rhinelander and the station that cares about education in Northern Wisconsin...100.1 SAM FM.

Mrs. St. John is so nice. She is like Mrs. Honey in Matilda. She never yells or gets mad. She makes all the kids do their best. She helps me be a better reader. She always knows what is important to a kid. Including being in line. She tells my mom all the good things I do and sometimes the bad things. But she is just trying to help me do better in school.

We moved to the area this summer from WA and enrolled our son to Pine River. Mrs. Walsh was super kind to him and made him feel very comfortable in his new setting. He was fearful at first but with her support and comfort him adjusting was done very smoothly. :) Not only was she comforting to him she has also given him a math book to do at home at our request. She is a caring teacher who should be awarded for her great efforts as a second grade teacher!!
Teacher's Name: Mrs. Hummel
School / Town: NCES - Harshaw, WI
Your Name: Caleb Olcikas
Mrs. Hummel is a great teacher because when she is upset or angry, she can hold the anger and continue to be nice to all of us. And if she\'s tired, she continues to be extra nice to us and helps us to learn.
Teacher's Name: Mr. Kremer
School / Town: Rhinelander High School
Your Name: Jessica Jacobson
Mr. Kremer deserves this award because not only does he tell things how they are but he makes them actually learnable. Everyone that has him as a math teacher actually understands the work that we are doing no matter how hard. He works extra time for a kid to understand what the class is about even though he just started a family with his wife and newborn twins. Theres nothing Mr. Kremer wouldn\'t do for a student.
