Hometown -  Wausau, Wis.  

Radio Experience -  Alot!  I’ve been doing this a real long time, maybe too long!  I’ve worked in various markets and states across the U.S. including Texas, Arkansas, Iowa and Wisconsin.  I  came to the Northwoods from Sheboygan where I had been for five years.  So far, so good!  At least nobody has threatened to run me out of town yet! 

What I wanted to be growing up – I’ve always had a love for this business.  I always thought it was so cool to be able to play some music and have some fun at the same time.  As a kid I loved listening to legendary announcers like Larry Lujack and John Landecker  at WLS in Chicago.  They always seemed to be having a lot of fun, and that is what I wanted to do.  The least amount of manual labor is the best for me! 

Favorite Songs Or Groups/Singers – For some strange reason, this is always a question asked of radio people.  Gee, I wonder why??   Seriously, it’s very hard for me to nail it down to ONE favorite song.  I have too many and it varies on what kind of mood I’m in.  If I had to name a couple, it would be “God Only Knows” by the Beach Boys,  “Pink  Houses” from John Mellencamp and “Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain” by Willie Nelson. 

As far as groups or singers, I like Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, John Mellencamp, Old Motown stuff, Sheryl Crow, Norah Jones, etc.

I also love one hit wonder acts!  The kind that only had one major hit, never to be heard from again!  One of my all time favorite one hit wonders is from a group called “Bloodstone” called “Natural High”.  It may be the best pop song ever! 

Favorite Sports Team – Go Pack!  Also a big Chicago Cub fan and a follower of UW football and basketball.  My favorite sport is baseball.  Nothing like a summer day at the ballpark! 

Favorite Foods – Wow!  This is a tough question, as I love a bunch of different foods!  The All American hamburger is always a favorite as is steak and potato’s.  Love a nice grilled bratwurst as well!  I also like Mexican food and boiled crawfish.  I can eat those things like popcorn!  Good Stuff!  Really, too many different foods to mention here.  But you get an idea! 

Hobbies – I enjoy traveling (when the money’s there).  Nothing real big, but I do enjoy seeing this country.  There are so many cool things to see, you just have to take the time to do so.  I also enjoy reading, watching some t.v. shows (big fan of  “House” “Prison Break” and “Lost”) I do enjoy some movies, although I wouldn’t consider myself a movie buff.  I also enjoy collecting DVD’s of old t.v. shows.  I am also a sports fan with baseball being a big favorite of mine. 

 I am also a fan of comedy.  Love good standup comedians.  Some of my favorites include Brian Regan, Kevin Meaney and Jim Gaffigan.  Old school comedians I like include Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Rodney Dangerfield and Richard Lewis.  I also liked when David Letterman was doing standup.  If you never saw him, Dave was a very funny standup comedian. 

Finally – Just want to say it has been a nice change of pace for me in the northwoods!  I have enjoyed my time.  And I have enjoyed getting to know people of the northwoods.  Thanks much for listening to Star 100!  And keep on listening!
